"M" is for "Made-It"

The “M” could stand for “Motsay”…
Or it could stand for “Mom”…
Maybe even just “Mug”…
But no, I've decided it is for “Made-It”

Because today marks another day
since you went your way,
Each morning I’ll look at my coffee mug
and I’ll be reminded to proclaim “Made-It”…ugh

P.S. This is actually my award to myself after making it through some semblance of grocery shopping; first time since Sam died, and I didn’t intend for it to happen but after getting the coffee and Diet Coke that I went for, there was the orange juice that led to the chips and then the snack bars and G2 that opened the way for the spaghetti and a few other essentials that might help make a home cooked meal by me some day… ah, some day….

I recall going to the store not long after Sam passed away thinking I would be getting groceries only to realize I wouldn't make it as in every isle and every item I looked at there was Sam… "no, Sam doesn’t like this" (tears) or "oh, Sam wants those; uh, wait a minute"… (tears)… You never realize how something so simple involves so much action in the way of love for your family and until one is missing you never realize the pain the simplest of things can bring to bear… I didn’t make it that day… Today I “Made-It”… Much love to Sam…
