As Christmas Day slips into Christmas Past, Hallelujah
A hymn has been with me all Christmas day. Carrying over from the solo performance Christmas Eve at Our Lady of the Springs:
“O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error-pining
Till he appeared and the soul felt it's worth
The thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder brinks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O night when Christ was born
O night divine
O night, O night divine”
With that song in my mind and the verse that has kept me company since earlier this week, Christmas Day now slips into Christmas Past. And these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:13)
Hallelujah, until tomorrow -
