JOHNSON COUNTY -Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a Center Grove High School teenagerlast weekend.
Indianapolis Metro Police arrested Zachary Catron, 24, of Indianapolis, and an arrest warrant was issued for two other men. A second suspect, 24-year-old Kyle Hazzard of Greenwood, turned himself in to police Thursday afternoon. A third suspect, 19-year-old Jordan Adamowicz of Indianapolis, turned himself in Friday.
Samuel Motsay, a 16-year-old Center Grove High School student, was found dead in a White River Township home by friends on May 11, 2014. Autopsy results were inconclusive and the coroner is still awaiting toxicology results, which could take weeks. But investigators say an unidentified substance was found in the home.
Investigators say they arrested Catron at his home and recovered drugs similar to the kind found next to Motsay's body. They also recovered a gun which Catron can't legally carry since he's on probation.
Deputies say Hazzard and Adamowicz delivered the drugs to the home where Motsay died. Police tracked down both men after checking Samuel's cell phone records. Police believe Samuel arranged for Hazzard and Adamowicz to bring him narcotics to buy that night.
The investigation also led police to Catron, who was out on bond in Johnson County for dealing narcotics. Catron was also on home monitoring because of a felony conviction in Marion County. Catron was arrested by IMPD officers.
Police said a substance found in Catron's home turned out to be an illegal narcotic called 25I-NBOMe, a psychedelic drug.
A warrant was issued for the arrests of Hazzard and Adamowicz for dealing a synthetic drug (class D felony).
